We have done a huge amount of work on Moddingflow and are finally ready to present version 2.0. The website has received a completely new design, a blue color palette, and updated logos.
What has changed?
A new FAQ section has been added, where you can find answers to frequently asked questions.
Authors can now upload files directly to Moddingflow without using third-party cloud storage services.
Minecraft now has its own upload system. Authors specify the game version and platform, such as Fabric, Forge, or NeoForge. When downloading a mod, users select the required parameters, and the website automatically finds the correct file.
Smart search has become even more accurate. The system analyzes the results selected by users and gradually learns to understand search queries better — similar to how recommendation systems work on YouTube.
A huge amount of work has been done on website optimization, many bugs have been fixed, and protection against artificial view and download manipulation has been improved.
File uploads and access from Russia
Cloudflare is used to store and distribute files. It allows us to distribute large amounts of data without strict traffic limits and is significantly cheaper than most alternatives, where distributing 1 TB may cost around $5, while storing the same amount may cost around $30.
Unfortunately, Cloudflare may not work for users from Russia due to current restrictions. For this reason, we decided to keep the option to add files through external links. We hope the situation will improve in the future, but at the moment, this is the most reasonable solution.
Changes to language sections
Moddingflow no longer separates mods and modpacks by language, as this system could confuse users. Language-based sections now apply only to the forum, guides, help pages, and other text-based content.
Moddingflow 2.0 is not just a new design, but a major update to the entire platform. Thank you to everyone who uses the website, reports problems, and helps us improve!
