We have released a new Moddingflow update focused on website performance, usability, tools for mod authors, and the security of uploaded files.
Performance and Interface Improvements
This update introduces site-wide performance optimizations. Page loading speed, interface responsiveness, and the overall stability of the platform have been improved.
We have also refined the UI and UX across several areas of the website to make navigation and common actions clearer and more convenient. In addition, a number of minor issues found in previous versions have been fixed.
New Requirements Section for Mods
Mod pages now include a dedicated Requirements section.
Authors can specify dependencies, additional mods, and other components required for their project to be installed and used correctly. Users can review these requirements before downloading and installing a mod.
Increased Description Limits
The maximum amount of text available when publishing a mod has been increased:
full description: up to 100,000 characters;
short description: up to 300 characters.
This gives authors more space to explain features, installation steps, compatibility information, known limitations, and other important details.
API and OAuth for Developers
Moddingflow now provides API access and OAuth support for developers.
These tools make it possible to build external applications and services that interact with the platform, as well as implement authorization through Moddingflow accounts.
Virus Scanning for Mods
Uploaded mods can now be scanned for potentially harmful files. The current verification result is displayed directly on the project page.
A mod may receive one of the following statuses:
Verified;
Verified by Administration;
Unsafe;
Under Review.
This system gives users additional information about file safety before downloading and installing a mod.
We will continue improving Moddingflow, refining existing features, and introducing new tools for users, mod authors, and developers.
